Model Contaminated Land Policy

The CRJO is working with member councils to develop a model Contaminated Land Policy. It is designed as a model for Councils to consider when developing their own Contaminated Land Policy. The Policy provides guidance about land contamination and its effects on human health and the environment, where it can remain for long periods of time. By developing a Contaminated Land Policy, Council is provided a framework to integrate and manage land contamination within the planning and development process.
